Computer System Requirements

Even the most advanced direct access trading platform is inadequate, unless you have the right computer system.

Here are the minimum system requirements for each of the trading platforms we offer.

Hardware - Minimum of a Pentium II processor with a speed of at least 400 megahertz (MHz), and 64 megabytes (MB) of SDRAM.

Modem - It is recommended that you use a high capacity line such as a cable modem, DSL, or T1 line. However SE Global Trade will function effectively on modems as low as 28.8kps. It is not recommended that Real Tick III be used on lower speed Internet connections.

Hard Drive - Available hard disk space should be no less than 1MB. We also recommend at least a 4MB Video Card and at least one full size monitor.

Dual Monitors - We recommend the Matrox G450 Dual Head AGP 16-32 Meg card. Various combinations of video cards may work effectively but not all combinations have been tested.

Windows 2000 - For optimal performance, we recommend Windows 2000. We will also support the following Windows platforms beginning with Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows Professional, Win98 and Win98SE. No other operating systems are supported (Mac, Linux, Unix, etc.).

For optimal results these options are recommended:

• 19" Monitor or larger with a minimum resolution of 1280 X 1024
  

• Pentium or AMD 700GHz processor or higher

• Windows 2000 Professional

• High quality video card with a minimum of 32Megs of RAM onboard.

• 512Meg of SDRAM

• Battery Backup Unit

• 3COM 10/100 Network Card

Hardware

• Pentium 350 MHz or greater processor

• 32Mbs of RAM

• 2Mbs free hard drive space

• 15" or greater SVGA monitor.

Operating System

Execute Direct supports Microsoft Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and new Windows XP. If you are using Windows 98, Me or NT 4.0, you must first download and install Microsoft Windows Installer. For more information click here.

Internet Access

• For security, Execute Direct requires "Physical Internet IP Address". Execute Direct does not support "Proxy Server"

• If you have "Firewall", you need to open 3 ports. Please contact us for these port numbers.

• Please contact your ISP for Internet Access technical support.

Your Role

Our standards are high and we test every version to ensure that it meets our criteria. However, what you run on your own computer and the Internet itself can impact the "secure environment" necessary for Internet transactions with our platforms. You also play an important role. Please ensure that you are familiar and comfortable with the steps involved in maintaining and updating your computer as well as using anti-virus software with active virus definitions
